Shanghai Ranking Consultancy officially released the 2019 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) recently, ranking the world's Top 1,000 research universities. Technion-Israel Institute of Technology has been in the Top 100 for 8 consecutive years and ranked 85 in 2019.
Shanghai Ranking's Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) was one of the most influential and authoritative university rankings in the world and has been widely reported and quoted. Governments and universities have adopted ARWU as the standard to formulate strategic goals and development plans, and take various measures to enhance the international competitiveness of the university.
GTIIT is the unique Chinese-Israeli institute with independent legal person qualification as well as the representative project in Technion-Israel Institute of Technology oversea education. In 2018, GTIIT was the youngest university which was listed in the "Guangdong High Level University Development Program". Materials Engineering, Biotechnology and Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Environmental Engineering are listed as key disciplines.
