On the morning of Mar.17, GTIIT warmly welcomed over 90 teachers from Shantou No.1 High School.
Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT, Prof. Lin Danming delivered a speech with an opening of GTIIT's establishment. Then he introduced the academic?team, education features,? innovation and transformation, etc. GTIIT leaves a deep impression on the teachers in the following aspects: pupil-teacher ratio of 8:1, over 90% of foreign faculty and researchers, and as one of the 18 universities selected in the "Provincial High-level University Program".
Chen Wei, a graduate of Shantou No.1 High School, is currently a sophomore majoring in Chemical Engineering. He shared his life at GTIIT through a series of wonderful photos. "Honestly, the study life at GTIIT is fruitful and challenging," he said. ?For him, passing the exam is far from enough. He keeps a good balance between study and life, becoming the winner of the First-class?Academic Excellence Scholarship(awarded to top 2.5% students), serving as Vice Secretary-General of Guangdong Technion Model United Nations, and participating in various volunteer activities such as the Inauguration Ceremony in 2017, Open Day, Academic Forums, etc.
Guided by Assistant to PVC, Mr. Chen Shaogang, and student volunteers, the teachers also visited the Birth of GTIIT exhibition, Labscapes exhibition, and living area to know more about GTIIT.
