The Forum?of Guangdong Science and Technology Innovation and High Level University Development Program ("Program" )?has been held in Foshan from November 23rd?to 24th.
As the youngest one among 18 universities which are listed in the?Program, GTIIT attracts wide attention. Huang Ningsheng, Guangdong Vice Governor, accompanied by Jing Lihu, Director of Provincial Education Department, and Zhu Wei, Mayor of Foshan visited universities booths on the morning of 24th.?When they visited GTIIT booth,?Huang Ningsheng encouraged GTIIT to accelerate long-term development according to the?academic direction.
Vice Governor Huang Ningsheng pointed out that to promote national economic and social development, universities should stick to deepen reform and innovation, enhance cooperation, and be dedicated to becoming world-class universities. He also further stressed that universities should take the responsibility of cultivating talents and contribute more to the country.

GTIIT prepared an introduction board to illustrate the establishment and current situation of GTIIT?vividly, especially the development of High Level University Development Program and four key disciplines (?Materials Science and Engineering, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Environmental Engineering). Research and scientific achievements of Technion were also displayed.
Science and technology innovation roadshow, scientific and technological achievements conference were also held during the forum. Staff from Provincial Education Department and Science and Technology Department also further introduced "2018 Science and Technology Innovation Policy" and "Development of Science and Technology Innovation in Higher Education".
