The new semester in GTIIT kicks off. Mr. Li Jian'ge, Chancellor of GTIIT, gave a wonderful lecture themed with "Hardship Breeds Brilliance – A Brief Discussion on the Jewish Culture" for the second cohort of GTIIT students, Class 2022. From the Jewish history to the remarkable contributions made to the mankind, Chancellor Li explained the Jewish culture in a simple yet profound way. By expounding concepts such as "Chutzpah" and "Pilpul", Chancellor Li introduced some most significant Jewish spirits: the courage to question and challenge, diligence in thinking, and being innovative.

In the lecture, Chancellor Li said, "There are both similarities and differences in Chinese and Jewish cultures". "I hope that you can learn from the strengths of the Jew tradition to constantly think and question, dare to express yourselves and being innovate. Wish you all a fulfilling campus life in the next fours."
