On December 26, the 4th Video Contest of Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology came to a successful conclusion. The contest, themed “GTIIT As I See”, attracted students from different grades and programs. They prodcued videos with their creative ideas, using various forms such as narrative films, aerial videos and Vlogs to showcase the beauty of GTIIT.
At the final, Li Min, Director of GTIIT News and Public Affairs, expressed her sincere gratitude to the judges and participants of this contest. She encouraged the participants to improve their creative and innovation skills through this platform and produce more videos with science and engineering elements.
The judges included Ms. Du Shimin, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of Publicity and United Front Work Department of Shantou University Party Committee; Mr. Jeremiah Foo, Founder & Head of School, Cyberjaya Academy of Screen Arts & Technology and Executive Committee Member of Meihodo International Youth Visual Media Festival; Mr. Yang Yi, Vice-President of Shantou Television Artists Association and Film and Television Producer; Ms. Li Lin, Content Director of Video Products Department at New Media Business Center, Southern Metropolis Daily; and Mr. Cheng Tiansong, a PhD student at GTIIT and a Content Creator on Bilibili.
This video contest offered participants ample time for creation, leading to a significant improvement in both the quantity and quality of submissions, with total 10 works entering the final round. From stories based on personal experiences, to vibrant of colorful campus life, and comprehensive introductions about GTIIT... the participants showed their skills in script writing, video shooting and post-production. Focusing on the theme of “GTIIT As I See”, they brought the audience a feast of both visual and emotional experiences.
After public voting and on-site judges scoring, the competition decided one First Prize, two Second Prizes, three Third Prizes, one “AI+Video” Special Award and one Internet Popularity Award and four Excellence Prizes. Congratulations!
