As one of the most important activities of GTIIT "2018 Intellectual Property Publicity Week", a lecture themed with "Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation -- the Case of Transformation of Chenghai Toy Industry" was given by Lin Jingyong, Chairman of Chenghai Science and Technology Association. Students were absorbed and the atmosphere on the spot was lively.

During the lecture, Lin vividly illustrated the importance of IP and innovation during the transformation of Chenghai toy industry with cases, data and models.

According to Lin, Chenghai toy industry was initiated at the end of 1970s and has entered industrial transformation since 2005. Thanks to the brand strategies of creativity, high-quality, intelligence, university-industry-research cooperation, Chenghai toy industry today boasts some international brands, evolving from OEM, materials for processing to innovative design and processing.

Finally, Lin shared some information on governmental support for student entrepreneurship while encouraged students to develop awareness of protecting intellectual property so that scientific results can be better delivered into practical benefits.
