On July 16, the 3rd Session of Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology's (GTIIT) Third Board Meeting was held both online and offline to summarize the achievement and experience in the past year and give valuable advices for GTIIT's future.
Participants attending the meeting included Uri Sivan, Chairman of GTIIT Board; Hao Zhifeng, Vice-Chairman of GTIIT Board; and other Board members: Gong Xingao, Huang Huiyang, Aaron Ciechanover, Oded Rabinovitch, and Rafi Aviram. The meeting was presided over by Uri Sivan.
The Meeting approved the minutes and summary of the Board Meeting held on January 18th 2024, heard reports on Academic Affairs, Undergraduate Studies, Recruitment, Student Affairs, Campus Constructions and Operations, etc..
Board members, leaders and guests listened the reports, affirmed GTIIT's achievements in student recruitment, disciplines construction, teaching and research. They also offered suggestions on GTIIT's future planning.
Other attendees included Wang Xuezhu, Vice Mayor of Shantou Municipal Government; David Gershoni, Vice Chancellor of GTIIT; Moris Eisen, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs of GTIIT; Yigal Cohen, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Director General of GTIIT;
Dr. Queena Yi, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Development of GTIIT; Dr. Frieda Law, representative from Li Ka-Shing Foundation. Directors from GTIIT, Shantou University and Shantou Municipal Government also attended the meeting.
