Around 50 Macao undergraduates studying in Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang and Hubei visited GTIIT yesterday morning. GTIIT students offered the Macao students guided walking tours on campus and had a nice talk with them.
?
Our visitors' interest remained avid, unaffected by the cold weather due to consecutive days of light rain and chilly wind. After the introduction presentation made by Yang Hongqing, Director of Student Affairs of GTIIT, guests went to the Technion Wisdom exhibition, the Birth of GTIIT exhibition and students' dorms.
?

During the campus tour, students from both sides had a close interaction with each other. Both the "software" and "hardware" of GTIIT were impressive, the "cost-efficient" dorms in particular, said the Macao students from Wuhan University, Central China Normal University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Huaqiao University, etc. "Conditions here are amazingly good!" exclaimed by one of them.
?

The visiting tour is hosted by Guangdong Liaison Department of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao S.A.R.

Students' voices:
Wang Yue:
The weather was quite cold yesterday though, we talked and laughed, and the warm atmosphere eliminated the coldness. I met a senior from Wuhan University. He was quite interested in the learning model of GTIIT. I introduced to him how we studied and how our teachers encouraged us to think and ask questions. He couldn't agree more on these teaching methods.
?
Yan Waner:
The seniors from Macao are very nice. I cannot understand Cantonese, but I can feel their recognition towards GTIIT. They kindly asked us whether we could adapt to the teaching model here, that is, all courses are English-speaking, and also talked about difficulties they met when they first entered universities. Their visiting provided us a chance to talked with undergraduates from other universities and we understand each other better.
?
Zhang Zihan:
What impressed me most is the praises from Macao students during the campus tour, like "GTIIT is magnificent and beautiful", which made me feel proud of GTIIT. On the way to the living areas, they chatted with me and referred to their campus lives, say, the misery of staying up to prepare exams. Now I feel grateful that GTIIT provided us with such comfortable living conditions. We should cherish the opportunity and study harder.
