Mr. Li Ka-Shing, Chairman of the Li Ka Shing Foundation and Honorary Chairman of the Shantou University Council arrived at Chaoshan airport this morning with his son Mr. Richard Li, Director of the Li Ka Shing Foundation and the Shantou University Council. Mr. Li Ka-Shing and Mr. Richard Li will attend the "Series Activities of Sino-Israel Education and Technology Cooperation" held by GTIIT from Dec. 17th to 20th.
On arriving at hotel, Mr. Li Ka-Shing was warmly welcomed by GTIIT students and staff. “ Hello, Brother Shing! We love you! Brother Shing!” GTIIT students who couldn't wait shaking hands and taking pictures?with Mr. Li, cheered for his arrival, holding welcoming banners and exquisite hand-painted portraits. Mr. Li was very happy about it, and said: “I love you, too.”
Zhu Xiaodan, Deputy Director of Financial and Economic Committee of the National People's Congress, also attend the “Series Activities of Education and Technology Cooperation”. Mr. Li Ka-Shing and Zhu Xiaodan, accompany by Li Jiange, Chancellor of GTIIT, visited GTIIT this afternoon.
The "Series Activities of Sino-Israel Education and Technology Cooperation" includes GTIIT Inauguration Ceremony, a student basketball match, Technion Wisdom exhibition, GTIIT exhibition and a series of scientific seminars, etc.
