Yesterday, Ms. Irit Ben-Abba Vitale, Israeli Ambassador to China, visited Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) after five months since her last visit and expressed her best wishes to the GTIIT graduates 2023.
Ms. Irit Ben-Abba Vitale attended GTIIT Commencement for Graduates 2023 and delivered a speech. She used Confucius' quote to inspire the students:"To study without thinking is futile. To think without studying is dangerous." She pointed out that GTIIT, the unique partnership, practically cultivates thinking as Confucius resides; curiosity, entrepreneurship, and excellence, which are all the basic foundations of the Technion academic spirit.

Ms. Irit Ben-Abba Vitale highly recognized what GTIIT had achieved in aspects of campus construction and talent cultivation. "GTIIT strives to introduce Technion's high quality educational resources for facilitating educational innovation and nurturing outstanding technological talents who are equipped with both innovation, ability and global mindset," she said.

"The last time I was here, they took us to the laboratories with wonderful equipment, most state-of-the-art equipment that you can find in the world. The number of students has been increasing. The campus has been built from sketch, and now there are south campus - a new campus. This is definitely very impressive," Ms. Irit Ben-Abba Vitale was glad to visit GTIIT again. She hoped that the GTIIT graduates could spread the world, study in a very prestigious university, and become the best ambassadors for GTIIT.
During the visit to GTIIT, Ms. Irit Ben-Abba Vitale and Mr. Alex Goldman Shayman, Consul General of Israel in Guangzhou, attended the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the GTIIT South Campus education building. Ms. Irit Ben-Abba Vitale, together with Prof. Gong Xingao, Chancellor of GTIIT and Academician of the CAS, and other leaders and guests, also planted a cypress tree, which symbolizes the friendship and cooperation between the state of Israel, the Technion and China.
