On July 11, the first session of Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) third board meeting was held in the academic center of GTIIT south campus. Prof. Uri Sivan, President of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology was elected as the Chairman of the GTIIT Board. Prof. Hao Zhifeng, President of Shantou University, was elected as the Vice Chairman.
The Meeting held the resignation ceremony for Prof. Jiang Hong, the second Chairman of GTIIT Board and approved the new list of GTIIT Board Members, heard reports on Academic Affairs, Undergraduate Studies and Campus Constructions, etc.
GTIIT Board Members attending the meeting included Aaron Ciechanover, Rafi Aviram, Oded Rabinovitch, Liu Wenhua, Huang Huiyang, Frieda Law.
Other attendees included Wang Xuezhu, Vice Mayor of Shantou Municipal Government; David Gershoni, Vice Chancellor of GTIIT; Moris Eisen, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of GTIIT; Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs of GTIIT; Yigal Cohen, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Director General of GTIIT; Directors from GTIIT, Shantou University and Shantou Municipal Government.
