Last night, the first Shantou Campus Youth Singing Contest was held at Shantou University. The atmosphere at the competition was heated, and our talented GT singers shined on the stage – Li Mudi won the championship with her outstanding performance and moving rendition of the song “A Diao”; Zhang Liwen stood out from the crowd and received the third prize.
Congratulations to them both!
The event was jointly organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, the Municipal Youth League Committee and the Municipal Education Commission, attracting over 800 teachers and students to the site to cheer up for contestants, and over 40,000 people voting online for the internet popular award.

“You are A Diao, you are a free bird.” Li Mudi’s high pitch was clear and unwavering, carrying the song's emotion through the air. She navigated the melody with ease, captivating the audience and taking them on a journey through the girl A Diao’s story.
Zhang Liwen took the stage with confidence. As he sang, a happy melody belied the sad story within – it was clear that he had captured the heart of the folk and its message, communicating it in a way that touched every audience.
