At the request of the Education Department of Guangdong Province, a meeting for maintaining the security of GTIIT, teachers and students is held recently.

The meeting was hosted by Feng Xinglei, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Feng firstly shared feedback from inspection delegation sent by Department of Education of Guangdong Province and elaborate measures to maintain the campus security before the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
On Sept 6th, led by Qiu Kenan, vice-inspector from Education Department of Guangdong Province, a delegation visited GTIIT and inspected current situation since new semester began. During a meeting, PVC Feng Xinglei reported the overall situation to the delegation who also talked with directors from GTIIT. Later, the delegation visited the North Campus. The delegation fully recognized what GTIIT had done for students, including students' patriotic and security education, as well as the infrastructure such as classrooms, canteen, students' and teacher's dorms. Meanwhile, they also put forward some suggestions for teaching materials security, the psychological health of students and lab security.

At the juncture of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), departments in GTIIT strike out working lists and avoid hidden danger beforehand. And everyone should shoulder his or her due responsibility to maintain campus' security. Specifically, we need to maintain water & electricity security, food safety, lab safety, fire safety, security of students' dorm, psychological health of students, safety of foreign teachers and their families, security of teaching materials, cyber security and so on.

In accordance with national and provincial regulations, GTIIT will set up related groups such as Security Group in the future.
