The report points out that the unique and international campus provides a platform for future scientists and engineers to pursue their dreams. As the China campus of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, GTIIT adheres to its original vision – focusing on the environment, energy, human health and other key fields and basic disciplines in social and economic development, and cultivating high-level STEM talents urgently needed by China.
As a research-oriented university, GTIIT injects strong impetus into the development of scientific and technological innovation by serving the local through the integration of industry, education and research, as well as promoting the implementation of research achievements in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
By seizing the opportunity of building the Greater Bay Area into a hub for high-level talents, GTIIT has a good beginning in talent training in five years. Two cohorts of students with innovative ability, global vision and humanistic quality have graduated from GTIIT and started their new journey all over the world.
In the past five years, GTIIT has opened a new chapter of local higher education in Shantou as a shining star.
