September 10 of 2022 is China's Teachers' Day as well as Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional festival of reunion. To celebrate this special day, GTIIT prepared buffet dinner and various activities for teachers and students to make them feel at home.

This Mid-Autumn Festival is the first traditional festival for freshmen since they came to GTIIT. It was an unforgettable experience for them to be together with their teachers and classmates in this memorable night.

Prof. Dganit Danino, Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and Prof. Eli Aljadeff, Head of Mathematics with Computer Science Program, shared their feeling of participating in this activity and expressed the sincere care of students. "We are so happy to be with all of you on this meaningful evening. Today is also China's Teachers' Day. As teachers, we will make any effort to make your journey at GTIIT fruitful and rewarding. But in fact, it is us that learn from our students."

With the host's introduction, the teachers and students learned the history and culture of the Mid-Autumn Festival, shared the customs of their hometown, and know more about each other. Cai, a freshman from Biotechnology and Food Engineering Program, said that it was very happy to spend the Festival with the teachers and classmates. "The buffet is wonderful and everyone enjoys it. If there are more such activities in the future, I would like to come together with my friends."

The day was also the Teachers' Day. Students presented teachers with bouquets and expressed their gratitude for solving puzzles, for encouraging and inspiring them, and for their efforts to come far from abroad for teaching, "For me, teachers are like students' parents. It's nice to receive flowers from students, but what makes me happier is that they know how to be grateful," said Dr. Michail Paraskevas from the Chemistry Program.

When the moonlight dives into river, when the starry sky whispers nostalgia, we reunion. The autumn breeze blew, the sound of Guqin and bamboo flute lingered, while we tasted Kungfu tea and appreciated the moon, chatting and relaxing.

Lights and music turned the activity into a small concert, where people enjoyed singing and clapped for impassioned performances.

Plenty of festive activities, such as mooncake and lantern DIY, were held during the Mid-Autumn Festival, bringing people the warmth outside home.
