This afternoon, to investigate the preparations for the start of the autumn semester, Ye Xian, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, led the heads of relevant departments of the city to visit Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT).
Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT, briefly introduced GTIIT's achievements in terms of publicity, talent cultivation, campus construction, and so on, and reported on regular measures the university has taken for epidemic prevention and control.
Ye Xian, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, affirmed the effectiveness of GTIIT's work in terms of "campus safety, orderly teaching and epidemic prevention", and stated that the municipal government would continue to support GTIIT as part of Shantou's higher education. She hoped that the university would capitalize on its strengths in promoting intercultural communication and telling China's story, as to set the stage with concrete action for the 20th National Congress of the CPC.
During the visit, both sides engaged in a deep discussion.
