The first students of GTIIT will report on arrival on August 13th, and start their intensive while meaning preparation period on 16th.
?
The preparation period including the orientation days will last for 6 weeks; GTIIT will deliver courses like English, Physics and Math focusing on communication skills. Eliezer Shalev, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, said:" Students are from different high schools and not at the same level with each other. We want to close the gap and make them reach certain knowledge level that will be compatible for the Technion demands and learning and teaching methods. Sliding easily into the first days in 'foreign University'."
?
During the preparation period, all the students will study the same courses. While in formal semester, they will be divided into three undergraduate programs, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Food Engineering and Materials Engineering.

During the formal semester, students will have to study rigoriously, since GTIIT will follow Technion's teaching standards. "At the end, students will need to reach Technion graduates level. We expect them to be good engineers, researchers and innovators." said Eliezer Shalev.
