Li Jiange, Chancellor of Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, was interviewed by Tencent Finance and Economics and expressed his views on talent-cultivation, artificial intelligence and global income distribution.
Li pointed out, we need cross-disciplined talents who should be put into priority in talent-cultivation facing the era of artificial intelligence. Then how shall we provide education to students? We need to cultivate specialists, meanwhile cross-disciplined talents are equally important, therefore, students can pursue their careers and encounter the changeable circumstances.
When it comes to international students, Chancellor Li said, GTIIT has no limitation on students' nationality, culture and religion. As long as students are interested in GTIIT and meet the required thresholds, they are welcomed to study in GTIIT. He hoped GTIIT will be a confluence of cultures.
