?June 18th - GTIIT held an Admission Info Consultancy at the gym of STU and the director of GTIIT admissions Office gave a lecture on the procedure of college enrollment.?The most-discussed topics are undergraduate programs, campus construction, tuition fees, scholarship, exchange programs and admissions requirements.

For the admission threshold, GTIIT admissions policy requires applicants to get Gaokao scores higher than the cut-off line for first tier universities specified by the Provincial Admissions Offices.?English score should be no less than 120 (maximum scores are 150) or 96 (maximum scores are 120), since all specialized courses in GTIIT will be delivered in English.

For exchange programs, every student has the chance to go to Technion-Israel Institute of Technology for summer school or for a semester. And students will complete their undergraduate programs in Shantou.

For student dormitories, all of them has been completed for months and temporary teaching buildings has been finished decoration for two years. Before they are put into service, these buildings have been checked and meet security standards.

Tuition fee and the accommodation fee will be 95,000 RMB per year and 1,200 RMB per year repectively. There are three ranking of scholarships: the highest is 100,000 RMB per year, following by 75,000 RMB per year and 50,000 RMB per year.? College applicants coming up to the top 50% will receive the scholarship. In addition, GTIIT offers 50,000 RMB subsidiaries to students who have difficulty in affording their tuition fee.

In the scholarship program, 10% of the college applicants will be awarded 100,000 RMB, 15% of the students will receive 75,000 RMB and 25% of the students will get 50,000 RMB. The qualification of receiving scholarships depends on the students' performance on the College Entrance Exam (Gaokao). After enrolling into GTIIT, whether students can be awarded with the scholarship is up their academic performance in the previous year, as a way to motivate students to study harder. Besides, even if students don't qualify to win the scholarship, they can get the scholarship if they perform well after enrollment.
