On March 19, an info session held by Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Guangdong Guangya High School and Guangzhou International Science and Technology Transferring Base in Tianhe received active responses from students and parents.
Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT and Prof. Eli Adjadeff, Head of Mathematics with Computer Science Program, introduced overall progress and program uniqueness of GTIIT, respectively. Dr. Lawrence Liao, Director of GTIIT Student Affairs Department and Neil Ren, Deputy Director of GTIIT Admissions Office acted as moderators to stimulate interactions between the audience and the speakers, resulting in active discussions. Participants at the meeting reflected that the speeches greatly enhanced their understanding of GTIIT.
In Guangya High School, even though the senior year of high school is very busy, students still used their short lunch break to attend the meeting. In addition to the content of admissions promotion, Prof. Adjadeff gave a special lecture here. He started with three simple mathematics problems and led students to discover the most essential beauty of mathematics. He emphasized that in the process of learning, the most important thing is to discover the inner laws inside the problems.
