On April 12, Chancellor Li Jiange of GTIIT paid a visit to the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
As the first Sino-foreign university in China, the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was established jointly by the University of Nottingham and Zhejiang Wanli University in 2004. So far, it has had over 10,000 graduates with degree of bachelor, master and doctor. Pro. Shen Weiqi, Vice President of the UNNC, made a detailed introduction of university features, management structure, tuition standard, student recruitment, key research fields and student activities. Furthermore, the two university leaders carried out profound exchanges in schooling experience and cooperation possibilities in science and research.
Li Jiange said that China's education is increasingly open to the world as well as innovative cooperation patterns presently. The UNNC has an over ten-year history while GTIIT is going to recruit students for the first year. These two Sino-foreign universities may further strengthen ties and exchanges with each other. GTIIT will learn from the UNNC's successful practice in both discipline construction and staff management, and simultaneously explore its own schooling pattern as a world-class university.
