From Technion Guangdong Admissions Office, we get to know that what differs GTIIT admission from other institutions in China is that Technion has its own independent review committee for different majors. The committee reviews applicants' Gaokao scores, student record, English proficiency, interview performance, recommendation letters, personal statements, etc. carefully. Top applicants are selected based on the overall evaluation. Gaokao score is an important reference but not the only admission standard. Technion especially pays attention to the scores of math and comprehensive science test.

It is?reported that Technion has extended the scope of student admission in China this year. Apart from students from "popular areas" such as Beijing, Guangdong, Jilin, there are students coming from Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui etc. with competitive background.
For many future applicants and parents who care about GTIIT student admission, officials say that with the support of the provincial and municipal governments, GTIIT is dedicated to its preparation work and aims at getting approval of formal establishment and student admission in 2017 from the Ministry of Education.
